Two in a row, how unlikely...
Well, I've had nothing to do, so I decided to make this, turned out pretty well, didn't it?
This is Scene 3 out of god knows how many from my canceled fangame "Sonic 4 - Episode ME", this time showing the pre-final stage, "Start-Up Zone" (I was getting lazier with each zone's name every time), a lauching site for the Egg-Missle.
Starting right after the boss fight of Roblimbnik (as seen in the last image, suprisingly enough I didn't plan it that way), Robotnik crashes his jet into his launch site, preparing to launch the missle asap. Sonic, on the other hand gets set down on ground by Tails and hurries to stop him.
This stage was meant to be very short, merely a transition between "Roblimbnik Zone" and "Egg Missle Zone", and as you propaby have already noticed, there's a timer to be seen in the image. With a lenght of about 1-1.5 mins, this stage was not very long, but despite its short lenght, it wouldn't have been very difficult, as it's merely a run to the right for a brief period of time.
As for the image itself (I really like this saying), it's made up out of many different resources, this time also covering the 1994 Genesis/Mega Drive title "Contra: Hard Corps" (or "Probotector" or "Contra: The Hard Corps"). The foreground elements are taken from Launch Base Zone (ripped by SkyLights), but heavily edited, while the background is comprized of many different parts. I'd have to thank SkyLights for ripping the Sky Sancuary clouds, while ZRDragon extracted the background of Sonic & Knuckles, where the mountain originated from. DeviantArt user DarkVampireDee, one I am good friends with, created a custom forest background, parts of which I used in this image. Divine and his team provided a tileset from the cancelled game Sonic Crackers, parts of which were used for the missle. The missle from Contra Hard Corps however, was ripped by Deathbringer. Last, but most certainly not least, Shiro (or as he's known to DeviantArt DarkChaoX100) ripped everything else, custom for me. This includes the missle launch silo and the Sonic CD special stage background. Many thanks for that.
