Sonic 4 - Episode ME - Bad Ending Mock-Up (Remake)

I am, like any other, no man without past.
Before I joined the two fangames I now work with/on, (For those with a short memory span, they're "Sonic - The Blue Blur" by Spykid/Hypes and "Sonic & Tails" by Bluecore) I've had my own fangame. It was nothing spectacular, but it was my vision of how Sonic 4 Episode 3 might have looked like if it ever would be made. Even the title was a reference to that (there are 3 vertical lines in ME, which, when coloured, look like the roman numeral "III" for 3, while "ME" puts emphasis on that it's my vision). So, I may tell you the whole story somewhen later, maybe I'll even upload more "remade" resources later too, but for now, let's stop here.

Now, this isn't a real mock-up from that era, me being "talentless" was actually one of the reasons why the game was scrapped in the first place, but rather a mock-up of how it might have looked (that's why it says "remake"). Storywise I won't spoil it all now, but originally there should be a missle orbiting around the earth, shooting lasers on different locations (I was too lazy to add that now, maybe I'll update the image somewhen). Also, the moon wasn't in the concepts, but I thought it looked nice (I was right).

Update 1:
Well, usually I'dn't bother you with silly little updates, but seeing how this is the first and original S4ME image. Added to the image are now a crap missle (and I couldn't emulate animation on a .PNG, so it looks a bit odd) and various pseudo-random explosions (taken from Contra: Hard Corps on Mega Drive). Still not my best piece, but it has its place in history, just as my very first piece of art has.

So, now to the image. The earth is simply the background from Death Egg Zone Act 2 from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, just recoloured. Same goes to the moon, which I took from some screenshots of Castlevania Bloodlines/New Generation for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and recoloured it.
Getting Robotnik was kinda difficult though. Thankfully, Sonic's Gameworld on the Sega Pico (Educational Computer with hardware designed after the Mega Drive/Genesis) had me covered (and of course, Yawackery ripped the games' sprites, thanks for that). I then had to size the image by 2, which I did with the 2xBR filter, then I proceeded to smoothen the image out to what you see now and apply the pallete I use for Robotnik. Turned out pretty good, didn't it?

So, what do you guys think? Should I continue to release stuff around Sonic 4 - Episode ME?
